Introducing the new Funky Hand Challenge for January

Hello blogging buddies, blog subscribers and general blog hoppers!!!

As a brand new member of the Funky Hand DT - (you may call me a Funkette now!), this is the very first challenge I get to introduce to you.

New for 2011, the DT will introduce a brand new challenge on the FUNKY FIFTEENTH of each month... and in true Paula fashion - I'm (unfashionably) late!!!  The old challenge used to start on the first of each month and each member of the DT would showcase their cards there and then.  However, its been all go behind the scenes in order to totally refresh how the challenge will be run from now on.

Each month, one of the DT will get the opportunity to play hostess with the mostest on the blog, they will be responsible for setting the challenge and kicking it off by introducing it on the Funky Fifteenth.  Every couple of days or so, in rotation, each member of the DT will, in turn, introduce their take on the challenge and post their card on Get Funky.

Your lovely hostess of the challenge this month is Allison, who has chosen her theme and named it

"Going Round In Circles"

so just produce anything with circles on it, circular shaped card, circle nesties etc.  As long as there is at least one Funky Hand product used - and you show us your circles, it will qualify for the challenge.

Do not despair if you don't have any Funky Hand design products, Anice - the fabby owner and designer of Funky Hand has designed a FREEBIE to give everyone a chance to join in (and show me a crafter who doesn't like a freebie)!!!

To find your funky freebie, go to the Funky Hand shop by - clicking here. This will take you to the downloads section of the shop.  You will need to go to page 2 go to page 2. of the Funky Hand shop.  Maybe you would like a browse while you're there.  Well, you might as well!

The winner of the challenge stands to win a Funky Hand download of their choice - and that could be anything in the shop that is downloadable - a whole collection of papers, a
word book collection or a collection of digi stamps etc.

Don't forget to check back here often for a few sneak peeks of my very first DT challenge offering.  I'm scheduled to introduce my piece on the Get Funky blog on the 8th February as the schedule goes... Also - remember to check back every 3 or so days to see the latest DT piece for inspiration too and then enter a funky card of your own!

In addition to the exciting things happening with the challenges, it remains for me to tell you all about Betty.

Betty is a girl about town - getting up to what girls get up to - shopping, needing shoes and handbags, congratulating loved ones and friends, and being all lurved up etc etc.

Betty is a brand new character brought into the world by Anice (not in a given birth kind of way before I get myself into hot water)... She's a clear stamp!!!

The DT (before the new girls on the block arrived), have produced some fab designs using Betty - who comes as four different theme plates.  Click on each design to be whisked off to the site to see some fabulous samples produced by the team:

All a girl needs:
Celebrate
Love 'n' that
And last but not least

Your special day

Isn't she just the girl that's got it all!!!  Remember to do all your paper piecing with her - and the elements on each of the stamp sheets can be mixed and matched too.

Wow - that's it for now from me.  Just a little short post as usual (tee hee)!!!

Keep on coming back to see what I create as my first ever DT piece - that will be shown on 8th Feb - but in the meantime - my fellow funkettes will be posting their DT projects - some may include Betty - and some might not - but they will all be featuring circles this month!

Oooh - I still have to tell you my news - the very same news I told you I needed to tell you last week... the moment will have gone soon and it will be as old as the hills!!!

Ciao dahhlings - hope to see you back here soon!!!
