WOYWW 7th July

This is going to be a short post today as I have some reading to do for interview ... so I'll post then dash off...
here is the desk

The wire basket on the left was £6 from tesco and i'm going to suspend it from the poles at the back - hope it fits - you will see next week if it did...

The tubes of paint stood up towards the right are acrylic paint and were half price from tesco £2.50 each - there is also some new stationery on the chair out of shot... that'll teach OH to make me go to tesco after the hospital...

You may also have spied this on the desk

That was my pressie from the boys visit to Wimbledon - this small jar of sweets was reduced from £7.99 to £4.99 - daylight robbery if you ask me!!!  I could have got some craft stuff with that!!! LOL
Anyway - yesterday I was in a right state - EVERYTHING got on top of me... all the stress of the pain, the heat, the interview... anyway, yesterday, I was trying to type something and the laptop decided to go on a go slow to stop... it was doing a healthcheck despite me saying I wanted to wait... which just added to my frustrations and stress further so I slammed my hand down on the keys in sheer temper and frustration.... and broke the laptop... so last night, we had to go to tesco for a new one cos there was no way I was waiting - OH didn't argue (he daren't) so we got in the car and got one... so here I am, typing on the new super duper laptop with windows 7 and office 2010 (not sure what the differences are just yet).

I will come round as soon as I am able.

Hope everyone is well.  If you want to join in with this madness and show off your mess, tidyness, desk, floor, dining table - where ever it is you craft or what ever you do... visit our Julia at Stamping Ground - she'll explain the rest.  Don't forget to say "hi" and leave a hug wherever you visit - oh do I need a hug right now!!!!

Bye for now,
Paula x x x

  7. Somehow your blog looks different this week. What can I say, I might be daft from the heat. Sounds like you've had quite a week and also sounds like you are not getting much better.

What a welcoming gift from the boys from Wimbledon. I know how sad you were about missing it. Hope you like your "other" gift, the new laptop. Happy WOYWW.

  14. flippin heck you did well from Tescos lol you should go there more often! I got a new laptop a couple of months ago, really don't like it, the keys keep sticking, so much so i am going to have to take it back. Also I am not keen on windows latest and hate the updated Office...hmm maybe I am just a traitionalist who doesn't like change.

I could just eat those sweeties, though i do have real strawbs in the fridge, so may go eat those instead.

  28. Hope the frustration levels have died down, can't believe the hoops you still have to jump through for a job interview in the UK, half of it is to justify someone elses existence I'm sure!

Save a sweetie for me, your aged friend!!

  30. How sweet of your boys to buy you those, you were on their minds! I'm sorry about the meltdown - hope you feel better today. Although of course, until the pathetic process of interviewing for your own job is over, you my feel pressure. You're allowed. Just keep breathing. Remember - we'd rather you didn't work!!!!

  32. oh hun - I could do with a new lappy as hubby keeps nicking this one off me at the mo. It was alright while my old one was still going ok but that started to go on a go slow and I'm not patient enough to wait half an hour for things to happen. That and it's had a few blue screen errors (not got the foggiest what they are but it doesn't sound good to me) so I'm avoiding that until I get something else. Anyway I hope you are more chilled out now, I'm doing ok now since taking up crochet and learning more than just straight line double and treble.
Okay I'm away before I write an essay (yes that does make a change from you hehehe)
