Hello friends and fellow bloggers.
If you are here, you are either a follower and seen that I have posted, or are here by accident (how did you manage that???!!!), or are here for a very important event in the blogging calender... Yes bloggers, it is WEEK 52 in the phenomenon that it Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday...
Julia - the founder of the 'Cult', set us a challenge a while back in order to properly acknowledge and celebrate the first anniversary (week 52) of WOYWW. The project had to be something that incorporates the WOYWW letters (if you know what I mean) and be something that you can proudly display around your craft area.
Well, I'm sure that we will all probably play to our strengths, whether that be knitting, painting, stamping, sewing or dumfing!!! Mine is playing with paper - after all, this is the paper playground.
Being a big fan of Funky Hand and their word books (and bright and colourful ones at that), I thought this is what I would do. Also, I thought that I would share within the word book exactly what WOYWW has meant to me as a newbie blogger joining in with some seasoned bloggers and crafters all those months (well nearly 5) ago.
Taking part in WOYWW has opened up a whole new world to me and been something that has helped me make so many special friends... some of whom i've met, some i'd love to meet and some that, unless I win the lotto, I'll only be able to talk to on SKYPE.
Anyway, I wanted to reflect within the wordbook what this all has meant to me - so i've journalled (well typed) some words that cover what I think it all stands for:
I thought I'd show my appreciation for all you people who visit me, so I'm going to offer my wordbook as a little gift - so anyone who leaves a comment this week will be chosen by one of those random generator gadget thingies meaning that everyone will have the same odds of winning.
It is Tuesday evening as I am at my friends house for some much needed R&R in Lincolnshire - but don't fret, I've bought my laptop with me so I can blog and keep in touch - Donna won't think me rude - her favourite pastime is surfing the net... Anyway,
Donna lives in Gedney which is almost where 3 counties meet: Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, so a trip to the seaside in on the cards - I definately need some sea air in my lungs after all that has happened these past two months.
I just want to thank all my fellow bloggers - whether I have spoken to you once or tonnes of times - your comments, visits and most of all support has meant so much to me during the time i've been blogging - which co-incided with me finding out about my tumor at the beginning of the year - I really feel like you went through it with me - you have all been an absolute rock for me...
Here is my desk as I left it this morning - and should be like it upon my return unless eldest son and DH are closet crafters and cuttlebug while I out...
And a bonus look at underneath the desk - but only because I've tidied it up!!!
Anyways, if you want to know what this WOYWW lark is all about, hop over to Julia's blog at the Stamping Ground - or click on the WOYWW button in the right hand side of my blog - you will be able to visit everyone who links up to Mr Linky and joins in the fun. Leave a comment and some love at each blog you visit, and i'm sure you'll make as many friends as I have over the last 5 months - a place where everyone makes you feel welcome.
After I'd showed you my cupboard with all my files and folders in - the one that I had swapped from the bottom of the stairs.... well, I'd been in it and left the door slightly ajar, when Dylan started sniffing round... I opened the door and found this
She is just so funny, mischievous, comfy - and loving... she's never very far away from me. Bless.
Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read this post. Please come back again. hugs, Paula x x x
